The company has a strong history of the manufacture and sales of scientific equipment sold to a broad range of laboratories including academic, research, clinical and food testing markets through a mix of direct sales and distribution partners. Part of a global instrument supply company, the UK operation is now seeking a seasoned Sales & Marketing Director to drive the company's sales worldwide through organic growth and acquisitions.
Working closely with the MD, you will be responsible for delivering sales volumes and growth, with full P&L responsibility, and managing the strategic direction of the business including marketing, sales and distribution channels, key account management, staff recruitment and management on a global basis.
Your experience will be in life science instrument sales combined with dealing with global distributors at senior level, plus extensive marketing experience with "cradle to grave" products. Your drive, ambition, and management experience should be impeccable. Ideally based with easy access to the company HQ in Cambridgeshire (or willing to relocate/work away from a home base) a very competitive salary is on offer plus bonuses/shares/executive package. For the person who can deliver in this role, there is the prospect to become heir apparent to the MD!
